Today MSR announced it had secured highly experienced driver David Russell to pair with new lead driver Garry Jacobson for the 2020 Pirtek Enduro Series.
Russell is not new to MSR, most recently recruited to steer the teams Sherrin Rentals entry at this year’s Super 2 race at the Supercheap Auto Bathurst 1000. Before that, Russell helped secure the team an outstanding 7th overall and 2nd in class at the 2019 Bathurst 12Hr in February.
Russell brings more than a decade of Supercar endurance racing experience to MSR, having competed in the Bathurst 1000 with Fernandez Racing, DJR, Kelly Racing (2 seasons), Nissan Motorsport (5 seasons) and Tickford Racing during his career, which was highlighted with second place at the 2015 Gold Coast 600.
The new Jacobson/Russell driver pairing will hit the track for their first shakedown at the 2020 pre season test at The Bend SA on 18th February 2020.
