Zach Bates is a Canberra-based Supercars Driver – making his full-time debut in the category with Matt Stone Racing in 2026.

Despite this being his first full-time year – Zach is no stranger to the category, having raced alongside Craig Lowndes in 2025 as a Wildcard entry with Triple Eight. Zach’s resume is both extensive and impressive – he is the 2025 Dunlop Super2 Championship winner, the 2021 Formula Ford Championship winner and has collected large qyantity of race wins from the highly-competitive Toyota 86 field.

Zach is one of the most talented rookies in the field, and has wasted no time displaying his speed and ability in both his one-lap Qualifying pace and his race-craft – and has already ticked off his first Top 10 finish at the Christchurch Super 440.
