Bendix Racing and rising Supercars star Zach Bates have unveiled a powerful new Indigenous Round livery that will feature on the No.10 Bendix Racing Chevrolet Camaro at the 2026 Darwin Triple Crown, Round 6 of the Repco Supercars Championship.
Created by Wadawurrung artist Billy-Jay O’Toole, the livery celebrates the landscapes, stories and cultural significance of Wadawurrung Country – where Bendix’s core team has been located since the company’s founding in 1955. The artwork features representations of local hills, waterways and eucalyptus leaves, symbolising connection to Country, journey and welcome.
Prominent throughout the design are four culturally significant birds – Bunjil the wedge-tailed eagle, Waa the crow, Kunawarra the black swan and Pawan the magpie – each holding an important place in Wadawurrung culture and creation stories. Meeting places and handprints woven into the artwork reflect Bendix’s journey across different Countries through the Supercars season, while recognising the commitment of its people to honouring and celebrating First Nations culture.
The livery will make its on-track debut at the Darwin Triple Crown, one of the highlights of the Supercars calendar and the Championship’s dedicated Indigenous Round.
Matt Stone – Team Owner, Matt Stone Racing – said the design was a meaningful opportunity to celebrate Indigenous culture and storytelling through the team’s national platform. “The Indigenous Round is an important event on the Supercars calendar and we’re incredibly proud to showcase Billy-Jay’s artwork on the Bendix Racing Camaro in Darwin” Stone said.
Zach Bates said he was honoured to race with a livery carrying such significant cultural meaning. “The car looks incredible and every element of the artwork has a story behind it,” Bates said. “Learning about the meaning of the design and the significance of the symbols Billy-Jay has incorporated gives you a real appreciation for the culture and history it represents. I’m proud to race this livery in Darwin and to help share those stories with Supercars fans around the country.”
The Bendix Racing Camaro will hit the track in its striking Indigenous livery for the first time at the Darwin Triple Crown, from the 19th to the 22nd of June, as Bates and the Matt Stone Racing squad continue their 2026 Supercars Championship campaign.
