Matt Stone Racing will head into the 2027 Supercars Championship with an unchanged driver lineup – confirming Jack Le Brocq will remain behind the wheel of the No.4 MSR Camaro alongside Zach Bates in the No.10 Bendix Racing entry, as previously announced. The decision reinforces the team’s commitment to building on the foundation it has laid throughout 2026, with both drivers playing a key role in the team’s growth and rise through the highly-competitive Supercars field.
Jack Le Brocq’s return to Matt Stone Racing in 2026 has proven to be a successful homecoming, with the experienced Supercars driver immediately finding his feet in familiar surroundings. Delivering on one of his key season objectives, Le Brocq secured his place in the Championship Finals, backed by regular appearances in the Top Ten Shootout and top-five finishes at some of the calendar’s most demanding venues, namely the Albert Park Grand Prix Circuit and most notably at Mount Panorama for the Repco Bathurst 1000. He has been acknowledged throughout the year for his speed, consistency, experience and ability to deliver under pressure – all traits which have made him a reliable force in the Matt Stone Racing garage. His commitment for the 2027 season provides the team with a very strong foundation in its hunt for silverware.
“Reuniting with Matt and the team at MSR has been amazing. There were a lot of familiar faces in the garage but just as many new ones, which shows just how quickly the team grew in my short time away,” Le Brocq said. “We’ve achieved some major goals in 2026, but there’s still plenty more we want to accomplish. Having that continuity heading into next year is a big positive, and I’m excited to keep working with the team, build on what we’ve started and see what we can achieve in 2027.”
On the other side of the garage, Zach Bates’ rookie campaign has been one of promise, pace and headline-making potential. Throughout the season, the young gun has demonstrated flashes of brilliance, holding his own against some of the most experienced and talented drivers in the world while continuing to develop his race craft under the guidance of the entire Matt Stone Racing team. His potential was on full display at the Bathurst 1000, where he delivered a Pole Position, lap record and a third-place finish, cementing his status as one of the sport’s most exciting emerging talents. As confirmed previously, Bates has signed a multi-year agreement with Matt Stone Racing.
“I’m incredibly grateful to Matt and everyone at MSR for putting their faith in me this year and giving me the opportunity to make the step into a full-time Supercars seat,” Bates said. “It’s been a massive learning experience, and I’ve been fortunate to have such a strong group around me to help me develop throughout the season. To get results like we’ve had at Bathurst in my first year shows what’s possible, and I’m super excited to see what the next few years have in store.”
Behind the scenes, 2026 has been a significant year of growth for Matt Stone Racing; with many key staff members stepping into new roles, the expansion into two additional racing categories, and an extensive workshop expansion designed to strengthen the operation and help the team take the fight to the front of the field. The progress has been evident both on and off the track, with Le Brocq securing his place in the Championship Finals and Bates delivering a breakthrough performance at the Bathurst 1000 in the team’s most recent headline result. Matt Stone Racing is proud of the strides made throughout the year and confident that its driver lineup is among the most promising in pit lane, with the foundations now in place to pursue even greater results in 2027.
“Continuity is incredibly important in a team environment, and retaining both Jack and Zach is a crucial step in our development,” said Matt Stone, Team Owner of Matt Stone Racing. “We’ve made a lot of changes and investments across the business this year, with people taking on new responsibilities and the team continuing to grow across multiple categories. Through all of that, Jack and Zach have shown exactly what they bring to this team, and we’ve started to see what this group is capable of delivering when everything comes together. We know there’s more performance to unlock, and keeping this driver lineup together gives us the stability to keep pushing forward and deliver the results we know the entire team is capable of. We’re proud of what we’ve achieved so far, but we’re only just getting started.”
