Matt Stone Racing would like to announce that following ongoing health concerns which resulted in his withdrawal from the Townsville Wildcard entry, Cameron Crick is unable to co-drive alongside Jack Le Brocq in the No.4 Sherrin Rentals Camaro in the 2026 Enduro Cup and will be replaced by two-time Porsche Carrera Cup Champion Harri Jones.
While Crick will be absent from the co-driver’s seat this Enduro season, he remains an important part of the Matt Stone Racing family. Since first joining MSR as Cam Hill’s co-driver in 2024 followed by the 2025 Wildcard campaign alongside Aaron Seton, Crick continues to play a valued role within the team. Matt Stone Racing is working closely with Crick on his recovery plan, with the focus firmly on supporting his return to racing in 2027. Although the team is disappointed not to have him flying the MSR banner alongside Jack Le Brocq on the grid this season, Crick has the full backing of everyone at the Gold Coast based outfit.
“It’s obviously tough to be stepping away from the Enduros, but right now my health has to come first,” said Crick. “I’m incredibly grateful to Matt and the team at Matt Stone Racing for the support they’ve shown me throughout this process, and while I’ll be cheering the team on from the sidelines this year, I’m working hard to return back behind the wheel in 2027.”
Joining the team as his replacement is one of Australia’s most accomplished sports car racers, with Harri Jones bringing an impressive endurance racing resumé to the line-up. A two-time Porsche Carrera Cup Champion, Jones has established himself as one of the country’s leading GT and endurance drivers, while also gaining valuable Supercars experience at the Bathurst 1000 in 2025. His most recent appearance at Mount Panorama attracted strong praise from the General Motors camp, further reinforcing his credentials in Chevrolet machinery. Jones is now eager to begin preparations with Matt Stone Racing ahead of his debut with the team on the Mountain.
“I’m really excited to be joining Matt Stone Racing for the Enduro Cup,” said Jones. “The team has been really competitive this season and it’s a fantastic opportunity to be part of that. I’m looking forward to working alongside Jack and the crew, getting comfortable in the car and doing everything I can to help deliver a strong result at Bathurst.”
Team Owner Matt Stone said while the circumstances surrounding the driver change were difficult to navigate, the team remains fully committed to Crick’s recovery while welcoming a driver equally capable of making a strong impact.
“First and foremost, our thoughts are with Cameron,” said Stone. “He’s become a genuine part of the MSR family over the past few years, and the team will continue to support him however we can while he focuses on his recovery. We’re looking forward to seeing him back racing in 2027. At the same time, we’re very pleased to welcome Harri to the team. He’s proven himself at the highest level of Australian GT and Porsche competition, impressed in his Supercars opportunities and comes highly regarded within the GM family. While it’s a late change, we’re confident he’ll fit into our programme quickly and give Jack and the No.4 crew every opportunity to continue the momentum we’ve built this season heading into the biggest race of the year and into the Finals.”
The Enduro Cup arrives at a pivotal stage of the 2026 Supercars Championship, with the Bathurst 1000 marking the deciding event ahead of Finals cut-off. Having spent the majority of the season inside the Drivers Championship Top 10, Jack Le Brocq and the No.4 Sherrin Rentals Camaro enter the Enduro season well positioned to cement their Finals berth, making consistency and strong execution more important than ever.
