Percat and Hill charge forward on Friday at AGP

Both Nick Percat and Cameron Hill put on excellent drives, with the #10 Bendix Racing Camaro sixth in Friday’s Supercars Championship race at Albert Park.

A hard-charging Percat made up eight positions with a brilliant drive and a host of superb overtakes to finish sixth-place.

It continues Percat’s form of finishing inside the top 10 every race this season.

It was also an excellent drive by Hill who moved up seven positions from where he started, working his way through the pack.

That was until the #4 Tyrepower Racing Camaro was punted off the track into a spin by another car, undoing Hill’s hard work.

Nonetheless it was a good day in the office with two fast race cars and plenty more opportunity this weekend.

Saturday’s action at the Australian Grand Prix will feature back-to-back qualifying sessions at 9am before the third race of the weekend at 5:40pm.

QUOTEBOARD

Nick Percat – Driver of #10:

“It was a good race — I got a really good start and had a good opening lap. I thought once I got that done we definitely had a shot for the podium but I probably needed the race to be a little bit longer. Massive credit to everyone from Bendix Racing, the cars have been fast all weekend. We have a couple more qualifying sessions tomorrow and that will set us up for the last two races. Hopefully we can come home with a trophy and some champagne.”

Cameron Hill – Driver of #4:

“A bit more of a relaxed day with only one race. We had to start 23rd due to a mistake in yesterday’s qualifying, but we had a fast car and we were moving forward in the race. We got up to 16th and passed quite a few cars but unfortunately we got turned around with two laps to go, which is a bit disappointing, because it meant all the ground that we made was lost. I’m really pleased with the speed of the car and the potential is there for some better results in Races 3 and 4.”
