Matt Stone Racing are pleased to confirm that Peter Vale will be joining the team at the end of the 2021 season in the newly created role of Team Principal.
Having risen through the sport from Mechanic at Lotus F1, 19 years at McLaren Racing in multiple roles including Mechanic and Chief Mechanic, and Team Manager at Williams F1, Peter returned to Australia just over 4 years ago where he has been Team Manager at Brad Jones Racing since.
The addition of this position within MSR comes as the team restructures to allow for future growth and to drive results in the Supercars Championship. The restructure will place Peter in charge of all workshop and race team operations which allows current Team Principal & co-owner Matt Stone to rise to the position of CEO with Commercial Manager Alistair Bye completing the upper management of the team in the new role of Commercial Director. The restructure will then see Matt Stone overseeing the whole operation while Alistair continues to manage and grow the commercial and strategic operations of the team.

His appointment will lead the expansion across the entire MSR operation to fill some vital roles within the team allowing us to push our performance to the next level.”
Peter and his family will be relocating to the Gold Coast in the off season before taking up his new role.
