MSR Challenge Winner set to be Pro Eseries Representative for Matt Stone Racing

Matt Stone Racing are pleased to be joining the Cash Converters Supercars Eseries with drivers representing the team in both the AllStar and Pro driver championships.

The team have welcomed decorated Pro Eseries driver Andrew Gilliam who has many accomplishments to his name on the iRacing platform, and shares history with Matt Stone Racing after winning the senior category of the 2020 MSR Challenge, also on iRacing.

Andrew participated in the 2020 Repco Supercars Pro Eseries where he secured 11 top 10 results which included 5 top 5’s, a podium finish and a win in the Seiko shootout. He then went on to finish 9thin the championship standings, an impressive feat for anyone competing in such a tough and talented field.

Outside of the Supercars Pro Eseries, Andrew races with Pursuit Sim Racing and has also competed in the Supercars Online Premier Series where he placed 3rd overall in 2020. A highlight of this series was when he charged through the field to 2nd place in the final 10 laps of the Bathurst 1000 race.

He has also raced in 2 seasons of the Australian Online Supercars Championship, bringing home second overall both times, with 7 wins and 8 pole positions across both seasons.

Since joining Pursuit Sim Racing at the end of 2018, they have provided Andrew with a platform to pursue sim racing at a national level in a small, tightknit team.

Andrew will be accompanied by both Matt Stone Racing Supercar drivers Zane Goddard and Jake Kostecki who will represent MSR in the AllStar portion of the series. Goddard and Kostecki will alternate rounds throughout the series with Jake set to complete the Bathurst Enduro round with Gilliam in week 5.

“I am super excited for the opportunity that Matt Stone Racing have given me to have a crack at my second season of the Supercars Eseries. I really think we can get some strong results with some continued momentum that I had at the end of last year’s series.” – Pro Eseries driver Andrew Gilliam.

“I’m really looking forward to coming in and especially being able to drive with Jake at Bathurst will be a really cool and awesome experience. Getting to know the team in the workshop and being able to do some testing with Zane and Jake as they begin their preparation as well will be great.”

The Cash Converters Supercars Eseries starts Wednesday 25th August and will run weekly for 6 weeks.
