Seeing Double on the Streets of Newcastle

The final race of the year will have Supercars and Super2 fans seeing double.

Recalling Ash Walsh’s Super2 livery release for Bathurst, the stealth/bold matte black base wrap with SS Signs emblazoned on his VF makes its debut on Todd Hazelwood’s main game entry.

What’s more, both the ZB and VF carry the number 35. For the same team to have two entries in two series with the same number and same livery is pretty unique.

Only a company with the pace and precision on such deliverables like SS Signs would be up to the task and this bold colourway will certainly not blend into the Newcastle coastline this week at the final round of 2019.

SS Signs and Vehicle Wraps, MSR’s official Signage partner have produced some striking livery for the past few rounds in impossible time frames with the utmost attention to detail. From the stunning tribute SP Tools livery at Bathurst, to the bright UNIT Workwear livery for Gold Coast 600 and the retro Sherrin Rentals livery at Sandown, the crew at SS Signs have been busy. They have made the incredibly tight turn around between the last four rounds look easy. The individual designs, precision with application and consistency they have displayed each time is remarkable. Not forgetting they have to work around the MSR mechanics, repairing and setting up the cars up for each event.

Rob Sharp, General Manager at SS Signs is “extremely excited to be backing MSR for both the “35” cars at Newcastle in the Super 2 and the main game. We wanted to get involved as we really liked the approach and enthusiasm of Matt Stone and his focus on developing Drivers and his team.

With Todd and Ash’s exceptional driving, we expect them both to do really well in Newcastle. We have been working side by side with Matt and the team at MSR. Our teams have been working really well together since Bathurst. We have watched MSR evolve over the last few years, making its mark on Supercars and believe that in the coming seasons we will see them as front runners as they develop and grow even more.”

SS Signs started their business in billboards, so what better opportunity than to incorporate that in the double livery exposure. From Tuesday 19th – Monday 25th November, Brisbane residents will be treated to ten LED billboard displays across the city in various locations featuring the two-car SS Signs livery.

MSR’s team principal, Matt Stone said “it’s good to build on our relationship with SS Signs at the Newcastle final with both cars sporting their attractive livery.”
