Matt Stone Racing has unveiled a local NZ partner for the annual trip across the Tasman.
BNT Automotive Parts has been a supplier to the New Zealand aftermarket for over 60 years. They’re part of the Bapcor Group whose Burson Auto Parts business is a current season partner of MSR.
“MSR is excited to have a local company come on board for Pukekohe. The Stone family are Kiwi expats so Jimmy (Stone) is naturally looking forward to attending the Auckland round” said Matt Stone. Jimmy will also be attending an in-store signing at BNT Manukau’s Grand Opening with Todd Hazelwood on Thursday 12th September. If you’d like to meet Jimmy and Todd, be at 5 Druces Road, Wiri between 5-6pm and hang around for prizes, race sims, food and displays. Event runs from 4-9pm.
Matt himself has handed over the management of the team for the upcoming round to his long-term Crew Chief Jason McDermott and the teams’ Head of Engineering, Wes McDougall.
“My wife Nina and I are expecting our second child this week, so I’ll be watching the round on TV from either home or hospital.”
Matt will be back on Team Principal duties for Bathurst 1000.
